Last Updated: 05/16/2025

Welcome to VibeCon 2025

Vibecon2025 is a competition hosted by the Dogelon community to put creativity in action using cutting-edge AI tools.

With $10,000 in prizes available, the competition is fierce to produce the best vibe coded game!

Register here if you haven't already, and learn more below.

WHAT IS VIBECON?

VibeCon is a remote vibe-coding challenge designed for creators who may not be traditional developers, but are curious about using AI and no-code tools to build a mini-game.

The Dogelon Mars community is full of inventive Martians who've expressed themselves through memes, music, and art. VibeCon is your chance to bring that creativity into the world of gaming.

WHAT IS A MINI-GAME?

A mini-game is a small, focused, and self-contained interactive experience.

It usually explores a single mechanic or idea and can be played in just a few minutes. It doesn't need to be polished, big, or complex.

It just needs to work—and most importantly, feel like something.

YOUR OBJECTIVE

Create a Dogelon-themed or Dogelon-inspired mini-game using:

  • AI tools (e.g. GPT-4, GROK, Gemini)
  • No-code game builders (e.g. Bitsy, Spline, Miro, Twine)
  • Lightweight engines (Unity, Unreal, etc.)

We're not judging by polish. We're looking for originality, atmosphere, and intent.

WHAT TO SUBMIT

During VibeCon, you will receive a link to a short form in your inbox which you will need to complete before the closing date (June 6th, 2025)

You'll need to include:

  • Game title or working title
  • A short description of your idea
  • A playable link or demo file
  • Screenshots or preview images (optional but encouraged)
  • A short explanation of how it connects to Dogelon Mars or your creative vision

JUDGING CRITERIA

Your game will be reviewed based on:

  • Concept originality – Is it creatively distinct or emotionally resonant?
  • Execution of the idea – Does the form support the vibe?
  • Connection to Dogelon – Is there a narrative, visual, or symbolic tie-in?
  • Resourcefulness – How well were AI/no-code tools used?
  • Experience – Is the experience clear, interesting, or atmospheric?

TIMELINE REMINDER

  • Submissions open: May 16
  • Deadline: June 6

SHARE YOUR PROGRESS ON X

If you're building in public, we encourage you to share your concept, early builds, or devlogs on X during the challenge.

Use the hashtag #DogelonVibeCon so we can amplify your work and others can follow your progress.

Mention your team, your tools, or just what you're learning.

You never know who might find your work, and it's a great way to get visibility before final submissions.
